Everyday all around Australia, Lifeline is seeking to recruit volunteers. Lifeline is looking for people from all walks of life who would like to make a commitment to regular volunteer work and who are willing to learn new skills, support others and work within the vision and values of lifeline.

Lifeline relies on over 11,000 Volunteers nationwide to support Lifeline's crisis support line, counselling service, help raise funds, work in retail outlets, or conduct administrative duties.

Face to Face Counselling Section

Lifeline Hunter Central Coast offers a face 2 face counselling service across the Hunter Central Coast in 10 locations. We offer brief solution focused counselling to clients, typically 6 sessions over a 6 week period.

Our counsellors are volunteers who donate one day per week to see our clients. All counsellors need to be University trained in Counselling or Psychology and be eligible to be registered with the relevant professional bodies.

To become a volunteer counsellor you will be required to apply with an expression of interest, CLICK HERE for more information or to register.

Student placement is also offered, involves, General Office Duties, Networking, Student placement, observing counselling sessions.

Lifeline Telephone Crisis Line

Training opportunities to become a Telephone Crisis Supporter are available. For more information on the course, CLICK HERE

Lifeline Administration Office

There are a number of other areas, e.g. marketing & finance within Lifeline Administration that may require volunteers.
